STUDY — My Study Know-hows
STUDY (My Study Know-hows) is a learning platform about learning itself — how to study comes before what to study. I'm building it to use together with my kids, and to keep my own study know-how in one place as I go.
The philosophy underneath it is deliberately unfashionable: memorization is the foundation of all studying. Memorization is not a fixed talent — it is a skill you can be taught methods for and build through training. What we call understanding is really the web of connections between things already memorized, so it can only stand on a base of memorized material. Every part of the platform grows outward from that conviction, one piece at a time.
Evidence-based study methods (retrieval practice, spaced repetition, interleaving) sit at the core, and the subject range keeps widening on top of it: languages (English, an English PTE Academic track, German, Korean), math, science, social studies, coding, and more recently arts and life-and-wellbeing tracks — with speech (TTS/STT) trainers on the language side. Korean school-admissions and developmental-stage parenting guides ship alongside as standalone reference pages.
Where it stands today, honestly: the German track is the part I've actually built out and reinforced, because I'm the one studying German right now. The rest is a working first draft — scaffolded with AI, then corrected and deepened as I actually use it with the kids. It fills in through real use rather than all at once, and good suggestions are always welcome.
STUDY(My Study Know-hows)는 '무엇을' 배우기 전에 '어떻게' 공부할지를 다루는 학습 플랫폼입니다. 아이들과 함께 사용해 보려고, 그리고 제 공부 노하우를 한곳에 모아 두려고 가볍게 만들고 있습니다.
바탕에 둔 철학은 분명합니다. 공부에서 가장 중요한 것은 암기이며, 암기는 타고나는 재능이 아니라 방법을 배우고 훈련으로 키울 수 있는 능력이라는 것입니다. 흔히 '이해'라고 부르는 것도 결국 이미 암기된 내용들 사이의 연계이며, 암기가 바탕이 되어야 비로소 성립합니다. 이 확신 위에서 내용을 하나씩 늘려가고 있습니다.
근거 기반 공부법(인출 연습 · 분산 반복 · 교차 연습)을 중심에 두고, 그 위에서 다루는 주제를 점점 넓혀가고 있습니다 — 언어(영어 · 영어시험 PTE · 독일어 · 국어), 수학, 과학, 사회, 코딩에 더해 최근에는 예술과 생활·마음까지 이어집니다. 언어는 말하기 · 듣기(TTS/STT) 훈련을 함께 제공합니다. 진학 정보와 발달 단계별 교육 가이드는 독립된 정보 페이지로 함께 제공합니다.
지금 상태를 솔직히 말씀드리면, 제가 직접 독일어를 공부하고 있어서 독일어 파트만 실제로 보강된 상태입니다. 나머지는 AI로 초안을 잡아 둔 것으로, 아이들과 함께 써 보면서 하나씩 다듬고 채워갈 예정입니다. 미리 완성하기보다 실제로 쓰면서 보강하려 합니다. 언제든 좋은 의견 부탁드립니다.
